Uttara Bhadrapada – Rains to quench the parched earth
But, mousie, thou art not alane,
In proving foresight may be in vain,
The best laid schemes of mice and men,
Go oft astray,
And leave us nought but grief and pain,
To rend our day. – Robert Burns
“The best laid schemes of mice and men, go oft astray,” But, the Universe makes no plans. It simply is, in natural rhythm and perfection. And, try as we may to control the flow, or to avoid a change, the Universe will have its day, and it is futile to resist. A choice we have, however. Matters can be understood to be necessary. We can exist in Universal Harmony. In this manner, a hard rain can be seen as a cleansing downpour.
