George Bush – Humanitarian of the Year? ……Hmmmm

According to a news report, George Bush claimed that the best way to help Haiti was to “just send your cash”. The solution to all the world’s problems regarding the lack of Altruism? I fear not. The solution to the Haiti crisis? Doubtful.

Bush’s philosophy of rampant capitalism in itself is the cause of great starvation and poverty.

This crisis alerts us to one particular problem … the lack of true altruism. Humanity is all too willing to try to throw money at problems. Is this the way to stop starvation? The problem at its root is a spiritual one.

Allowing more people in for distribution ….. more humanitarian efforts in general could make a huge shift in the problem.
