When you have dwelt in the dark for a length of time, it can be difficult to trust the rays of light when they first appear. They seem jarring, uncomfortable. Your eyes are unaccustomed to their brilliance. And even should they seem desirable, are they merely momentary in their presence? Shall they not fade? What you are witnessing is something which should be welcomed for it shall soon illuminate your world in warming tones. It’s now time to emerge from your hole.
