The recent astrology has had the effect of taking all of us to some pretty deep places. The pressure has been intense and quite challenging to face. Difficult and critical decisions have been the hallmark of the day. It’s no surprise that transforming times such as these seem so daunting. The natural impulse for many is to resist. But really, to do so will get you nowhere fast.
You cannot hide from the truth, nor from destiny. No matter where you go or what you do to avoid them, you will always be found. So, might as well face the shifting tide head on. There’s courage, strength and character in doing so, at the very least. And undoubtedly, the opportunity for evolution.
What’s at the root of all this intensity? Presently, Jupiter and Uranus, in the sign of Aries and lunar mansion of Uttara Bhadrapada are forming a square with Pluto, in Capricorn and the lunar mansion of Mula. Pluto, in turn, is forming a square with Saturn, in Libra and the lunar mansion of Uttara Phalguni. This configuration of planets is known as a T-square, because the planets involved, quite literally, form a “T”.
The planetary heavyweights involved in this aspect are transpersonal. When their energy is being highlighted, it means massive changes for humanity as a whole, as well as for each of us as individuals. The energy currently so prominent will be present for most of the remainder of the year, with some time of levelling off. Cosmic patterns and the movement of the planets are precise in the promotion of evolution. The level of intensity will build, and then there is a lull, as if the planets are pausing to allow us to pause for integration. Currently, we are in a period where the energy is increasing.
Saturn is building in intensity as it approaches first an opposition with Jupiter, on 16th August, 2010 GMT, then a few days later, it will form a square with Pluto on 21st August. Saturn’s energy obstructs. It slows things down, allowing for focus. Saturn, currently in Libra, is in the sign that allows it to function at its optimum. It’s curbing influence can be used to create balance, justice and refinement. Jupiter, quite opposite by nature, is the planet of expansion and is currently transiting the sign of impulse, Aries.
The lunar mansion of Uttara Phalguni, occupied by Saturn, brings to light the concepts of ethics and striking a balance between working in harmony with others, whilst honouring one’s individuality. This energy is presently “fine tuning” as Saturn is approaching a conjunction with Venus, exact on the 8th August, 2010. Venus is the ruler of Libra and the harbinger of values and refinement.
Jupiter, opposite Saturn in the sky, is conjoined by Uranus. Both planets are in the lunar mansion of Uttara Bhadrapada. This asterism wants to bring refreshing change. And with Jupiter joined by the rebellious energy of Uranus in Aries, the impetus is great, and unrest is high. Saturn’s energy is applying a bit of cautious consideration to the situation. In this manner, the ideas sparked by Jupiter and Uranus can take tangible form more conducively. No matter how frustrating it may feel, it really is for the best.
Pluto is in the middle of this equation, as Jupiter and Uranus are also forming a tense aspect with the cosmic force behind deep revelation. Pluto, in the lunar mansion of Mula and the sign of Capricorn, wants to ensure that the practical steps to be taken are done so from a space of understanding of the deepest profundity. It is driving home the truth deeply into our hearts in order to increase awareness and connect us more fully with the true essence of our individual souls. If we desire honesty, the process is less painful. But, if we hide from any inherent negativity, or indeed massive potential, it has to “shake” our lives up a bit in order to awaken us.
So, why the incredible feeling of indecision? With power comes responsibility. But, with the acceptance of responsibility for our strength comes independence. The celestial forces are asking us to make the decision of our own free will, to stand in our purity, recognise the true nature of our being and courageously fulfil our destiny. The great stage of Planet Earth now needs souls with integrity. We can make the choice to hide from the light of day, but the darkness of ignorance will eventually fade. Better to seize the opportunity for the dawning of awareness. It is a gift of the utmost value. All we have to do is unwrap the present – a small price to ask for real treasure.
