There are 27 Lunar Mansions, or Nakshatras as they are also called. These 27 sections of the zodiac divide the signs into smaller sections, each with its own particular energy. For example, Pluto behaves somewhat differently within the Western sign of Capricorn when it is transiting the Lunar Mansion of Purva Ashadha than it does in Mula.
