Pushya 5th June, 2011 – The Sacred and Profane

Pushya 5th June, 2011 - The Sacred and ProfaneIf everyone were to exercise just a bit more self-control, there would be no starvation, no extreme poverty. As a result, there could be no war in the name of resources, disguised as an act of humanitarianism. If all of the money spent on war were diverted to areas where it could eliminate the world’s problems, there would be no ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’. The church, mosque, synagogue or any temple are all devoid of God when there is rampant consumption leading to the suffering of others just outside their doors, or indeed, within their communities, whilst the coffers inside are filled to the brink and the temples becoming ever more extravagant in structure. Life is Sacred. Be willing to sacrifice where it is helpful. Therein you shall find Divinity.
