Mars Conjunct Pluto November 2012 ~ Facing the Brink of Eruption
We live in a toxic world. We pollute our environment with the filth of our materialistic lifestyles. We ingest the crud of poisonous processed foods. We utilise nuclear energy to create power for our electrical appliances, then dump the waste into our oceans once a reactor melts down. When we can no longer handle our emotions, we erupt like a volcano spewing ashes and hot lava all over any unfortunate person who may have chanced to be near us at the moment of explosion. We fill our minds with poisonous ideologies and keep change from our doors when something arrives which challenges that belief system. And if that something turns out to be a someone, we drop bombs on them causing the blood to spill from their bodies. We penetrate beneath the surface of our planet, raping our Mother and desecrating the bones of the dinosaurs to fuel our vehicles. We hide beneath layer after layer of artifice, fearing the truth and utilising every weapon in our arsenal to keep it at bay.
The creative potential of the human is profound, yet we harness it for destruction. We are all related, connected. We see ourselves as a separate entity than the planet upon which we live when indeed we are involved in a symbiotic dance with the entire cosmos. Yet, we pervert everything with which we come into contact. Rather than sensing the totality of which we are a part, we identify ourselves as an island in and of itself. When we see another, we create a wall to keep them outside rather than build a bridge upon which to greet them. And the biggest fortress of all?!?! The one which we construct in order to hide from our own soul. Potential means responsibility; it is seemingly much simpler to be apathetic. And besides, we live in a material world, and a soul is etheric. You can’t touch it, eat it, fornicate with it. So, is it any wonder that out of a subconscious desire to be able to make it submit to our way of existence that we try to figure out a way of selling it? After all, money is what makes the world go round; not some intangible force beyond our comprehension. Right? We alone are supreme, aren’t we? And so it goes, from the individual to humanity as a whole.
One of the most toxic resources of all with which we have polluted the planet is money. We have created currency so that one individual can potentially have more than another. Such an egotistical and obscene creation. Nothing but a vulgar sense of self importance would determine that one individual should have quality of life, whilst another should do without. There truly can be another way, but we must simplify. And, to do so means that we must take a look at a rather large problem and accept responsibility for its existence. Many would think that it is much easier to hide from it, cover it up, refuse to admit its existence. Perhaps if we do, it will just go away. Hello!!!!! Wake up call!!!! What happens when you live a toxic lifestyle? You get ill. Humanity is being faced with one big pimple which is due to pop rather soon. We can either face the harsh reality and decide to purify our existence of the poison we have created, or the cleansing will have to take place in another manner. But, we cannot superficially cover the problem any longer. No war is going to cure our spiritual acne, no bailout loans, no exploration of the nether regions of space where we can continue our existence as the Universal Wastemongers. The pace is quickening and we can either choose to move with the tide and work in harmony with it, or be swept away by it.
On 27th November 2012, Mars forms a conjunction with Pluto in the sign of Capricorn and the Lunar Mansion of Purva Ashadha. The sign of Capricorn is amongst many other things associated with authority, power and control. In its more positive vibration it is also connected with detachment, discernment, perseverance and sobriety. The Lunar Mansion of Purva Ashadha serves the purpose of peeling away hubris and superficiality so that the pure essence hidden beneath the surface can be revealed. From this space, true empowerment can occur. Pluto, the Lord of the Underworld, functions exceedingly well in this sector of the sky. He exhibits his darkest masks, challenging us to integrate the wisdom that he is merely reflecting back to us of our own negativity. Upon understanding this, and embracing the responsibility for purification, we are rewarded with ever increasing degrees of true empowerment. Mars impassions that with which it comes into contact. It excites and agitates. Yet, it also serves the purpose of Cosmic Surgeon. It confronts and defeats that which must be eliminated purging it from our existence.
So, with all of these energies building to a rather intense climax, is it any wonder we are on the verge of a world war? It is a well known psychological fact that when we cannot face something inside of ourselves, we project it upon another. Humanity is its own worst enemy, not Nature. It is merely faced with the harshness of Nature because it has decided to avoid it. And when it chooses to give it attention, it is merely for exploitation. Other countries, ideologies and ways of life are not our foes. The separation we have created between us is our darkest nemesis. At the basis of our problem is a realisation which we refuse to recognise. Each individual has a soul. The individual soul is our personal environment within which we dwell. Nature is also our home. Our planet resides within a solar system, a galaxy, indeed a Universe. You are not separate in that truth. It is the case for every single thing in creation. I leave you with the words of Martin Luther King, Jr.
‘All men are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality.‘ ‘We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.‘
