There is often more to gain in letting go of something than there is in trying to hoard it or defend it. In times of transition, insecurity can set in. One is confronted with a new landscape, new scenery. But, rather than feeling excited or exhilarated, instead there is fear and a desire to cling to the familiar. Dogmas are more strictly adhered to, with no sense of sincerity. Dharma is denied when it should be embraced. Pride keeps one from becoming receptive to Humility. Yet, Pride often precedes a fall, whilst Humility is the Harbinger of Wisdom and Spiritual Wealth.
