Astrological Profiles of Prominence – Albert Einstein
‘I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.’
‘Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.’
‘I think and think for months and years. Ninety-nine times the conclusion is false, the hundredth time I am right.’ – Albert Einstein
Einstein’s gift was not based in the realm of logic. It came from the Realm of Spirit. Pisceans, Einstein himself one, have the rare blessing of being able to pluck the Fruit of the Tree of Imagination and Inspiration from the Ethers and make it juicily manifest. Einstein had not only this talent, but also passion which drove him to stick with a mystery until the truth behind it became clear.
The driving force behind his creative mind is the placement of his Sun and Moon. His Sun, in Pisces and placed in the lunar mansion of Purva Bhadrapada occupies his ninth house. Intuition and imagination held higher sway over his mental processes. Purva Bhadrapada’s energy guaranteed that when an impulse came to him, that it would place such a noisy bee in his bonnet that he would not rest until his curiosity was satisfied.
His Moon, in Sagittarius fueled his desire to explore. The lunar mansion of Jyeshtha gave him the ability to see things from a Higher Perspective. This was quite a saving grace for him, as otherwise his thoughts would have had more of a tendency to be clouded by the intensity caused by Purva Bhadrapada.
Einstein’s firm belief was that ‘imagination is more powerful than knowledge.’ The Illusory Neptune, Ruler of Pisces, is also the Lord of Imagination. Albert’s Neptune was in the artistic, yet stubborn, sign of Taurus. Occupying the lunar mansion of Bharani, which simultaneously takes away and gives birth, Neptune’s influence in his chart would have naturally given him the impetus to test his mediumistic concepts within the material realm, peeling away at the layers of the Cosmos until the Core was reached.
Further strengthening this quality, is Innovative Uranus in Virgo and the lunar mansion of Magha. He was critical of his own ideas. This, coupled with Magha’s influence of naturally shifting his mental processes to new theories after foregone conclusions fell flat, caused him to eventually arrive at an answer. Neptune and Uranus form a harmonious aspect, perhaps the most important aspect in his chart.
The North Node, conjuncting any planet, intensifies its energy. Mars in Capricorn provides tenacity, and is conjunct the North Node, making Einstein’s Mars a Force Phenomenal. His North Node is in the sign most correlated to things scientific, Aquarius. Both transit the lunar mansion of Uttara Ashadha, giving spirited strength to overcome any seeming failures. Both also form a harmonious aspect with Pluto in Taurus and the lunar mansion of Krittika creating a desire to cut away at any mystery until its secret was revealed.
To summarise, it is quite likely that his innovative ideas began with a hint of mediumistic intuition. His ‘curious passion’ then compelled him to purify his ideas until he arrived at a solid solution. He was not disheartened by criticism or apparent hurdles. He was a believer that science should serve the common good.
‘Concern for man and his fate must always form the chief interest of all technical endeavors. Never forget this in the midst of your diagrams and equations.’
‘It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity.’
‘Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.’
