If you are dissatisfied with someone else, there is little you can do to change them, try as you may. But you can change the way in which you respond to them. Or, perhaps even remove yourself from their environment should need be. If you are uncomfortable with yourself, well …. there’s no way to show yourself the door and demand an exit. You can however try to improve that which you don’t appreciate when you mirror-gaze, or navel-gaze for that matter. A necessary precursor to self-development is self-acceptance. You have more gifts to work with than your current appraisal may estimate. There is no need to start from scratch.
